Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh Non-Executive Vice-Chairman

Shivinder Mohan Singh, currently the Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Fortis Healthcare, has had a distinguished career as an entrepreneur and business leader, who, in a short span of under two decades, transformed the way private healthcare is delivered and shaped its evolution as an important and credible partner in India’s growth.

Shivinder was driven by the twin needs to create significant impact in the domain of healthcare delivery and by his vision, to bring world class standards of care delivery, at affordable prices, for the benefit of the people of India. His credo of “saving and enriching lives”, on a foundation of clinical excellence and distinctive patient care, continued to guide the evolution of Fortis as it took its rightful place as an acknowledged leader in healthcare delivery. During his executive stewardship of the organization, Fortis used several innovative formats to achieve unprecedented growth, combined with an unrelenting focus on clinical quality and standardization. Shivinder, simultaneously, also created a powerful platform for community outreach and CSR that included focus on helping the girl child, provision of medicare to under privileged children and contributing actively to the alleviation of pain and suffering during natural disasters.

Shivinder has played a prominent leadership role on several prominent industry platforms, including FICCI and Nathealth. He is credited with conceptualizing and leading the formation of Nathealth, India’s most prominent healthcare sector industry platform. In September 2015, Shivinder, in response to a higher calling, took a personal decision to take on full-time responsibility of SEWA at a Spiritual organisation that he has been associated with since his childhood. To Shivinder this was a logical next step - from saving and enriching lives he was inspired to do more direct service and give back to society. Consequently, he stepped down from his executive role at Fortis and transited to a non-executive role, as Vice Chairman, on the board of the company.

Mr. Sunil Godhwani Non-Executive Director

Mr. Sunil Godhwani in his capacity as a Whole-Time Director, Religare Enterprises Limited (REL), is a guide and mentor to the various group businesses of Religare. Till recently in his executive capacity as the CEO of REL, was responsible for leading and managing all the businesses. He joined Religare in 2001 and prior to that has a rich and varied experience as an entrepreneur in his family business. During his tenure at Religare he was instrumental in transforming the platform from a mono line broking led business to a diversified and well regarded financial services group.

Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Sunil pursued his higher studies internationally. He received a B. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Finance from Polytechnic Institute of New York.

Mr. Harpal Singh Non-Executive Director

Harpal Singh is currently the Mentor & Chairman Emeritus and a member of the Board of Directors of Fortis Healthcare Limited. He is also on the Board of Fortis Clinical Research Limited, Religare Enterprises Ltd., and SRL Diagnostics Ltd. Harpal Singh is recognized as a thinker and speaker on healthcare and other issues on the social agenda. He has a diverse and wide-ranging experience (of over 40 years) in the corporate sector. In the last decade he has substantially been engaged with the not for profit sector. He is Founder and Chairman of Nanhi Chhaan Foundation. He holds senior board level positions in National and International organizations. He is also Director of Impact Projects Private Ltd and was Non-Executive Chairman of India’s largest Pharmaceutical Company, Ranbaxy. He is and has been associated with school education for over 30 years and has served at the Board level with some of India’s most renowned schools which include The Doon School, The Scindia School, The Shriram School, The Yadavindra Public Schools and Salwan Public Schools. He was a member of the National Round Table on School Education, a member of the Executive Committee and of the Governing Council of Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), a member of the Board of the Delhi Red Cross Society, a member of the Board of Governors of NIIT University, a member of India-UK Round Table and India-US Strategic dialogue. Dr. Brian Tempest is on the Board of several companies in India – Fortis Healthcare, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, SRL Diagnostics, Religare Capital Markets and Petainer-Innopac Packaging. He is also on the Board of the following UK companies – Religare Capital Markets Europe, Religare Capital Markets UK and Hale & Tempest Co Ltd. In 2009, Brian was approved by the FSA under Section 59 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Editor of the Journal of Generic Medicines, Non-Executive Director United Nations Patent Pool & ex CEO Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, Dr. Brian Tempest advises Companies, Banks, Investment Funds, Private Equity funds & high net worth individuals on their Strategy in Emerging Markets and Developed Markets based on his wide global experience.

Brian worked for Ranbaxy from 1995 and became the Chief Executive Officer in 2004. In 2007 he retired from Ranbaxy. He was earlier with Glaxo from 1985 to 1992. In total, he has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for the last 45 years and has managed Healthcare Businesses in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australasia, China, Japan and India. Brian is an international advisor to MAPE, India an M&A boutique and serves on several Healthcare and Finance Company Boards. He is a member of the SCRIP Global Awards Panel. Having led a Sensex Nifty 50 Indian blue chip MNC, Brian has a valuable insight of doing business in India. Brian has joined the Governance Board of the United Nations Patent Pool representing the global generic pharmaceutical industry. He also works for the United Nations Committee for Trade & Development (UNCTAD) on various projects.

An eminent cardiologist , holds an MBBS degree in Medicine from Medical College, Amritsar, (Punjab University, Chandigarh,1970) and MD degree in cardiology and General Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College (Delhi University 1974 ). (He stood first in university and was declared best graduate of Medical College, Amritsar). He become a member of Royal College of Physicians , UK (MRCP) in 1978.

He is a fellow of American College of Cardiology (FACC), Fellow Royal College of Physicians Edinburg (FRCP) and Fellow Cardiological Society of India and abroad. He has held many positions of responsibilty including Directorship and Head, Department of medicine and Cardiology divisions in Escorts Medical Centre (1981-84), Birla Centre for Medical Research, New Delhi (1984-85) and Maharaj Sawan Singh Charitable Hospital, Beas (1985 - till date)

Ms. Joji Sekhon Gill Independent Director

Gill is a HR veteran, with over 24 years of experience. Her stints in organisations spread across North America, India, Europe and Asia, have given her extensive exposure to best practices in Global Human Resources. She has recently joined DuPont as Strategic Human Resources Director.

Ms. Lynette Joy Hepburn Brown Independent Director

Ms. Lyn Hepburn-Brown is an executive leader with over 30 years experience in healthcare, mergers and acquisition, private equity, education, regulatory and nursing services management across Asia Pacific.

Recognised as a natural business leader, Lyn was head hunted to be appointed Chief Executive Officer of a 60-bed hospital at just 28 years of age. In 1989, Lyn started a ‘green fields’ home nursing business that she rapidly evolved to incorporate nursing recruitment and agency practice. She successfully grew the company from its small South Australian roots into one of the nation’s largest nursing agencies with over 10,000 employees and more than 70% of the market share. Lyn sold part of the company to Deutsche Bank in 2004 and was asked to continue on as Board Chair. Eighteen months later she led one of Australia’s most successful dual process IPO / trade sale, resulting in the 2006 Best Management Buyout Award by the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL).

With a firm belief in the importance of information technology, Lyn was responsible for commissioning Australia’s first bespoke integrated rostering, invoicing and payroll system. This system was rolled out Australia wide and still remains in service today.

Since then, Lyn has played a pivotal role in the creation, leadership, investment, and governance of several other enterprises that, in addition to the health services space, include successful businesses in information technology, software and systems development, financial services practices and professional services, food and beverage manufacture and export, retail, strategic and organisational consulting.

A founding director of Torrens Capital, a private equity specialising in investments in small-to-medium-sized businesses with exposure to high-growth industries, Lyn has used her extensive experience to help achieve 40% growth year-on-year within the private equity’s portfolio companies for the last three years. Torrens Capital continues to boast a proven track record of success through roll-up acquisition strategies.

Lyn holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of South Australia and is a past chair of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council as well as a past board member of the Nurses Board of South Australia. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor to the Division of Health Sciences of the University of South Australia.

Mr. Pradeep Ratilal Raniga Independent Director

Pradeep Ratilal Raniga has rich experience of over 30 years in the fields of accounting, taxation, legal structures, asset protection, financial planning, and financing. Currently, he also serves as a Financial Consultant to various companies in Australia, a country to which he migrated in 1985, from South Africa.

Prior to branching out independently, Pradeep was with HLB Mann Judd, Melbourne, rising to Partner and Member of the firm's Executive Committee. Before that he was a Partner at Farrar Jeena & Company, South Africa. Pradeep has a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Durban Westville, South Africa, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Natal, South Africa. He has qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and is also a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Udai Dhawan Director

I am the nominee director on behalf of Standard Chartered Private Equity. I have been associated with Fortis since mid 2013. I have been working in financial services for over 20 years and with Standard Chartered in private equity over the past 8 years. I am married with two kids, aged 12 and 10. Personally, I enjoy traveling, playing golf and spending time with the family.

Udai is a Managing Director with Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) and the country head of Standard Chartered Bank’s private equity business in India. He joined SCPE in 2008 and has since then been involved with several of the fund's investments and exits. Prior to SCPE, Udai worked for 13 years in financial services focused on corporate investing, M&A and corporate finance, both in India and the United States.

Udai has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is a chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Ravi Mehrotra has over 30 years of experience in the Financial services domain both in India and internationally. Prior to this, Mr. Mehrotra was associated with PineBridge Investments (erstwhile AIG Investments) where he was the Global Head of Retail & Intermediary Channels. Mr. Srinivas Chidambaram is the Managing Director and CEO of Jacob Ballas Capital India Pvt Ltd (JBC), a leading India focused private equity firm based in New Delhi. JBC advises three India focused private with above $600 million under management. Mr. Chidambaram joined JBC in 2005. He has 27 years of financial services and industry experience, including 19 years in private equity. He previously served with HSBC Private Equity (Asia) and its affiliates in Hong Kong and India, responsible for private equity investments in India and South East Asia. Mr. Chidambaram has also served in the IT industry with HCL Technologies, a leading Indian IT services company, responsible for financial institution relationships and strategic alliances in the USA. Mr. Praneet Singh Nominee Non-Executive Director

Mr. Singh has held the position of Chief Financial Offi cer (“CFO”) and Executive Director of RHTTM since 1 January 2013. Mr. Singh is experienced in the fields of finance and accounting, particularly in the Indian healthcare industry. Prior to his career in RHTTM, Mr. Singh served as the Corporate Controller of Finance in Fortis Healthcare Limited (“Fortis”) and played an influential role during its IPO Offering in 2007, rights issuance in 2009 and issue of convertible bonds in 2010. Lt. General Tejinder Singh Shergill PVSM, graduated from the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, where he was awarded the President’s Gold Medal. He was commissioned into The Deccan Horse and has 40 years of experience in the military that included battle during the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak conflicts. He was Defence Attaché at the Indian Embassy, Washington DC, USA; later he commanded a Division in Jammu and Kashmir, a Corps in the North-East, both during counter militancy and counter insurgency operations; he was also Commandant of the Indian Military Academy. He is a former Chairman of the Punjab Public Service Commission.

Mr. Monish K Dutt Nominee Non-Executive Director

Monish Dutt is a seasoned investment professional and a Consultant on Emerging Markets. He is a Director of Sagicor, a pan-Caribbean insurance group with assets of $5 billion. He is also a Director of Religare Enterprise, an Indian financial services group with assets of $3 billion and AUM of $15 billion. Furthermore, he is a Director of Peak Reinsurance Company of Hong Kong, part of the Fosun Group of China. Earlier, he was for 25 years (through 2011) with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group). For the last seven years at IFC, Monish was Chief Credit Officer for Global Financial Institutions & Private Equity Funds, in which capacity he evaluated investment proposals (debt and equity) in these segments globally and advised Investment Teams on structuring investments. He was an ex officio member of Investment Review Meetings Committees. He oversaw Portfolio performance, and represented IFC on Boards of investee companies. Prior to this, Monish was the Head of IFC’s Private Equity Advisory Group. In this position, he tracked a global portfolio of investments, provided quality control to Private Equity Fund investments, and supervised a team of private equity specialists who monitored the industry worldwide. Previously, between 1996-1999, he was the Head of the Baltics, Central Europe, Turkey and Balkans Group, during which he led investments in several privatization transactions. Prior to that, he was (in reverse sequence) Principal Investment Officer for Asia, Senior Investment Officer for Central & Eastern Europe and an Investment Officer for Africa, Latin America and Asia. Before joining the IFC, Monish worked for Ernst & Young, London. Monish has an MBA from the London Business School, London University, and a BA in economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. Mr. Virendra Kumar Madan Non-Executive Director

Mr. Virendra Kumar Madan has over 4 decades of experience in the corporate sector and as an entrepreneur across diversified sectors including textiles, real estate, hospitality, health care and power generation. Mr. Madan was associated with DCM Ltd for 32 years where he rose to become President and CEO. Among his other assignments, Mr. Madan was President of Magnum International Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., a conglomerate involved in industrial and economic projects. He currently also serves as a Director on the boards of Taj Kerala Hotels & Resorts Ltd. and Nidra Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Tejpreet Singh Chopra Non-Executive, Independent Director

Mr. Tejpreet Singh Chopra is the Founder, and President & CEO of Bharat Light & Power. Bharat Light & Power (BLP) is one of the leading clean energy generation companies in India (IPP). Tejpreet’s 18 years of global management and finance experience was gained in various business roles held in France, England, Hong Kong, India and USA, of which over 14 years were at General Electric.

He is a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), was the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), and was on the Board of Directors of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC). He is a participant of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Cornell University Council. He is also an Aspen Institute Fellow. Mr. Arun Ramanathan (25/4/1949), retired from the Indian Administrative Service as the Union Finance Secretary in 2009 and has held various key offices in the Central and State Governments in Finance, Taxation, Industry (heavy, medium and small), Food & Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, Transport, Fisheries and General Administration.

In Government of India, Mr. Ramanathan was the CEO (Member Secretary) of the Silk Board at Joint Secretary level, Secretary (Chemicals & Petrochemicals), Secretary (Department of Financial Services) and at the time of his superannuation, the Union Finance Secretary. Mr. Ramanathan is a Master of Philosophy in Developmental Economics from Cambridge University, United Kingdom, a Master of Business Administration from Madras University and a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics from Andhra University. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

Mr. Ramanathan who has been a Director on the Boards of over 35 Companies in his career is currently an Independent Director in Religare Industries, Equitas Holdings Limited and L&T Fincorp Ltd. He is an Independent Director and Chairman of L&T InfraDebt Fund Ltd and Equitas Microfinace Ltd. Mr. Ramanathan serves as a Member of the India Advisory Council of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Ltd and on the Advisory Committee of the Hindustan Latex Family Promotion Trust from 2010. He is also on the Programme Management Board of FINISH, a Netherlands based Trust working on sanitation initiatives in India. Mr. R.K. Shetty Independent Director

Mr. Shetty, aged 67 years, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Basaveshwara Engineering College, Bagalkot and has completed an Executive Development program from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai in Production Planning Control and Financial Management. He has more than 32 years of work experience and has received the prestigious National Productivity Award in the year 1992. Ms. Sangeeta Talwar Independent Director

In her illustrious career spanning over three decades, Ms.  Sangeeta Talwar, has handled several critical roles and assignments across leading organizations and geographies. She was most recently the Managing Director of NDDB Dairy Services - a new company she helped establish. This company was mandated by NDDB, and funded by the World Bank, to deliver the National Dairy Plan and usher in the second White Revolution. She spearheaded the design and establishment of an innovative business model for creating sustainable livelihood for dairy farmers. This novel concept is being used to set up farmer owned, professionally managed Producer Companies as a complimentary structure to Cooperatives. She set up two such companies with 100,000 farmers.

Mr. Sabnani joined the Board of REL on April 9, 2007. Having received training in business from the Caritas Adult Education Centre, Hong Kong, Mr. Sabnani has been engaged in the business of export and import of goods and has more than 30 years of work experience.

Mr. Padam Bahl Independent Director

Mr. Padam Bahl has been practicing as a Chartered Accountant and an Income Tax Advisor since 1979 and has more than 27 years of work experience. He was the Chairman of the Northern India Regional Council, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Amritsar Branch for the year 1998-99. He was also a member of the Income Tax Advisory Committee, Amritsar Chapter during the years 2002-03 and 2003-04. Mr. Bahl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Kurukshetra University and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Mr. Gurpreet Singh Dhillon Executive Director & CEO

Mr. Gurpreet Singh Dhillon has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of RHTTM since 22 May 2013. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Trustee Manager. Mr. Dhillon oversees all key operations of RHT and is involved in sourcing for investment opportunities for RHT. He also serves as a Director on Fortis Global Healthcare Infrastructure Pte. Ltd. and Religare Healthtrust Services Pte. Ltd., both of which are wholly-owned subsidiaries of RHT. Previously, Mr. Dhillon gained his experience in the fields of investments and asset management during his career in Religare Capital Markets Plc, the investment banking arm of Religare Enterprises Limited, where he played key advisory roles in real estate acquisitions across India and the United Kingdom. Mr. Dhillon graduated from the University of Essex with a Bachelor of Laws degree. 

Mr. Pawanpreet Singh Executive Director & CFO

Mr. Singh has held the position of Chief Financial Offi cer (“CFO”) and Executive Director of RHTTM since 1 January 2013. Mr. Singh is experienced in the fields of finance and accounting, particularly in the Indian healthcare industry. Prior to his career in RHTTM, Mr. Singh served as the Corporate Controller of Finance in Fortis Healthcare Limited (“Fortis”) and played an influential role during its IPO Offering in 2007, rights issuance in 2009 and issue of convertible bonds in 2010. Previously, he held the position of CFO in Super Religare Laboratories Limited (“SRL”) where he established the organisation’s accounting system and was actively involved in business development. SRL is currently part of Fortis. Mr. Singh holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh. He is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also been a member of the Institute of Costs & Works Accountants of India since 1991.

Mr. Eng Meng Leong Independent Director

Mr. Eng has been an Independent Director since 1 July 2013 and is also the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Further he is a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. Currently, Mr. Eng serves on the Board of Croesus Retail Asset Management Pte. Ltd. which is the trustee manager of The Croesus Retail Trust, a business trust listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange. Additionally he sits on the Board of ACTS College Ltd which is a company that operates an institution that provides Christian education.

Mr. Eng has over 25 years of experience in taxation, which covering Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. He held key appointments during his career at KPMG Tax Services Pte. Ltd as the Director of Tax Services, Head of Financial Services. The taxation work he had undertaken included compliance, advisory, due diligence reviews and structuring for mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, IPOs, in-bound and outbound projects and corporate finance matters. Previously, he had worked in London, England for about 10 years in professional and commercial firms.

Mr. Eng is currently a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and an Accredited Tax Advisor of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals. He was admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1982. He was an Examiner for ACCA Advanced Tax.

Mr. Sydney Michael Hwang Independent Director

Mr. Hwang is an Independent Director and serves on the Trustee-Manager Board as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee. Mr. Hwang also holds directorships on the Boards of various public and private companies such as Linyi Investments Pte. Ltd., Singapore Dance Theatre Limited, YTL Starhill Global REIT Management Limited, Memories of the East Pte. Ltd., Justinian Private Limited and is the Sole Director of the law firm of Michael Hwang Chambers LLC. Mr. Hwang has over 40 years of experience in the legal area. He commenced his career with Allen & Gledhill ("A&G") in 1968, became a partner in 1972 and served as its Head of Litigation and Arbitration Department from 1993 to 2002. Between 1991 to 1992, Mr. Hwang served as a Judicial Commissioner (Contract High Court Judge) of the Supreme Court of Singapore. In 1997, he was appointed one of the first 12 Senior Counsel ("SC") of the Supreme Court of Singapore (a status equivalent to that of the Queen's Counsel in England). Between 2000 and 2002, he held the position of Commissioner of the United Nations Compensation Commission. He has also held office in various international arbitration committees. Mr. Hwang served as President of the Law Society of Singapore between 2008 and 2010 and was then appointed as non-resident Chief Justice of the DIFC Courts. Mr. Hwang holds an undergraduate and postgraduate law degree from Oxford University. He practices as an independent international arbitrator both in commercial as well as treaty investment disputes. Mr. Hwang was for 9 years Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Switzerland. He is currently Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Argentina.

Dr. Yogendra Nath Mathur Lead Independent Director

Dr. Mathur has served on the Board of the Trustee-Manager since 7 September 2012 and currently holds the appointment of Lead Independent Director. He is the Secretary of the Maharaj Jagat Singh Medical Relief Society, Beas. Dr. Mathur has been actively involved in the fields of social development and humanitarian activities related to disasters. He worked with the United Nations Children's Fund ("UNICEF") from 1989 to 2012, where he also held several key positions and memberships in several government bodies in India. As a member of the Central Review Board of UNICEF, he oversaw the recruitment of professionals into the organisation and was Chief of State Offices for Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka and Gujarat, where he oversaw the development of social sector programmes for children and women in the respective states. Previously, he served as Project Officer (Health and Nutrition) with the UNICEF and was involved in the establishment of immunization and other child survival programmes in India. Dr. Mathur was also actively involved in research based activities on health and nutrition problems affecting children and women in different states of India. Prior to his work at UNICEF, he served as the Head of the Regional Medical Research Centre for Tribal Health in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Peter Joseph Seymour Rowe Independent Director

Mr. Rowe in an Independent Director of Religare Health Trust Trutee Manager Pte Ltd the traustee manager of the Religare Health Trust and the Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee. He has been involved in the financial services industry for 35 years. He is a retired solicitor and is a consulatnt at Herbert Smith Freehills (“HSF”), aposition he has held since 2011 where he was previously a Partner between 1989 and 2011. Since joining HSF , Mr. Rowe has practiced in the area of funds management. Prior to his appointment in 2005 as Head of the Financial Services Group at HSF, Mr. Rowe oversaw and led its securitisation practice. In addition, he has the Client Relationship Manager also for a number of key clients and among other roles, he was a founding member of the firm’s Australian pro bono committee and was except for about 18 months, a member of that committee from its inception in 1992 until he retired in 2014.

He also currently Chairs the Compliance committees for AMP Capital and Chairs the AMP Capital China Growth Fund Advisory Committee. Mr. Rowe currently holds directorship on the Boards of Investa Listed Funds Management Limited and Southern Highlands Botanic Garden. He is Chairman of UBS Grocon Real Estate Investment Management Pty Ltd and Chairmen of GFM Investments Group.

Mr. Rowe holds a diploma in Law from the Solicitors Admission Board of New South Wales, Australia. Mr. Maninder Singh Grewal Non-Executive Chairman

Mr. Maninder Singh Grewal, has over 35 years of experience in the information technology sector. In the information technology space his exposure dates to 1973 from numerical modelling and simulation courses at IIT Kharagpur, where he graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1989, he was Wipro’s principal vendor in the North with key assignments like migrating the Ludhiana Stock Exchange to electronic trading, digitizing 197 and many SAP implementations. His experience in Healthtech started from the systems and software for 2 large teaching hospitals in North India. The company he founded completed 25 years in 2015 and continues to deliver committed support and technology to a select group of companies and institutions in the region. He joined the Religare/Fortis group in 2006 and did a full technology refresh in a highly regulated and compliant environment in the pharma sector. This covered global SAP, Messaging and Communications including business and pharma specific applications. At Dion Global Solutions, where he is the Chairman of the Board, he started the BFSI vertical in 2007 with acquisitions in India and Australia. Dion delivers critical IT risk, compliance and broker and wealth solutions software to Tier 1 customers in over 20 countries. He was the first Chairman and Managing Director of HealthFore Technologies Limited which was a pioneer in diagnostic imaging remote management and telemedicine. The two companies now have 1000+ employees aligned to BFSI and HealthCare IT delivering critical applications to Tier 1 Financial Institutions and Hospitals in over 20 countries. He is CoChair of the Noida NASSCOM Council. Working with Nasscom and Industry Thought Leaders, he anchored the Nasscom Annual Technology Conference in 2013 and 2014 and helped conceptualize the Data Analytics and Cloud Conference. Both are now annual events in the Nasscom Calendar. He has been a member of the industry panel advising the Ministry of Health for the national standard for Medical Records. Mr. Ralph James Horne Non-Executive Director

Mr. Ralph James Horne, a qualified accountant, has over twenty years’ experience in the Financial Services IT industry. Prior to joining Dion, he was the founder and CEO of Capital Market Solutions (“CMS”) where he successfully expanded CMS’s footprint across Asia. He was also previously a member of the Board of Misys Securities Trading Systems; initially based in London, Ralph transferred to Melbourne in 1998 with the responsibility of establishing operations in the Asia Pacific region. Through a combination of organic and inorganic growth, Ralph established a successful business operating in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Korea. Ralph also spent four years located in Hong Kong from 2000 to 2004.

Ralph joined the Group in 2007 and in 2010 assumed the role of CEO of the newly listed Dion Global Solutions Ltd, setting the vision to build a global financial services technology business. His knowledge of the IT and Securities industry has resulted in him being consulted on a number of industry initiatives and being invited to speak at several industry events across the region.

Mr. Balinder Singh Dhillon is associated with The Singh Group (RHC Holdings Pvt. Limited) in an executive capacity. As Group President – Corporate Governance, he has supervisory responsibility over the governance functions. As a member of the group senior management team, he also develops and leads key strategic initiatives.

Having worked as counsel in practice and with corporate houses such as Hindustan Unilever Limited, INTRIA Items Inc., (a wholly owned subsidiary of CIBC Bank, Canada) and Fortis Healthcare Limited, he has more than 23 years of experience in corporate law, governance, risk management and strategic planning and implementation.

Balinder graduated from the Punjab University and is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Bar Council of India. He holds a Master of Laws degree from McGill University, Canada. As a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, he completed his accreditation under a Certificate of Qualification equivalent to a Graduate of Law through the Law Faculty, University of Toronto, Canada. Daljit Singh is the President-Fortis Healthcare Limited, Chairman-Malar Hospitals, and a Director on the Board of Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, Dion Global Solutions Limited and HealthFore Technologies Limited. During his tenure of 13 years with Fortis, he has led the Company’s Projects Function, Strategy and Organizational Development Functions and has held the office of the Chief Executive Officer. He has over 40 yrs of rich management experience in the Corporate sector.

Mr. Singh has been a pivotal member of the top management team of Fortis Healthcare that conceptualized, formulated and implemented Fortis’ growth strategy to position it as India’s leading Healthcare delivery organization in a short span of almost 13 years.

Prior to joining Fortis, Mr. Singh was on the Board of Directors of ICI India, a subsidiary of the British Multinational, Imperial Chemicals Industry plc, as the Executive Director in charge of Human Resources, Manufacturing, External Relations and Communications. Amongst key responsibilities held at ICI India, he was the Chief Executive for Pharmaceuticals, Specialties and Catalyst businesses. Mr. Ravi Mehrotra has over 30 years of experience in the Financial services domain both in India and internationally. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Religare Enterprises and Fortis Healthcare. Prior to this, Mr. Mehrotra was associated with PineBridge Investments (erstwhile AIG Investments) where he was the Global Head of Retail & Intermediary Channels. His career span also includes assignments in India as the President of Franklin Templeton Asset Management, Chief Investment Officer of Kothari Pioneer Asset Management, Executive Vice President & Co-founder of Prime Securities and Vice President at Bank of America in their Investment Banking & Treasury Group. Mr. Mehrotra graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Commerce. He also received a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Xavier Labour Relations Institute of Jamshedpur in India.

Mr. Rashi Dhir is a Senior Partner at DMD Advocates and heads the Firm’s Corporate and Tax Transactional Group. With twenty two years of corporate and international transactional experience, Mr. Dhir brings a unique blend of business thinking and strategy to structuring, negotiating and closing complex commercial and corporate transactions.

Ms. Vandana Nadig Nair Independent Director

Dr. Vandana Nadig Nair holds a Ph. D. in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Central Michigan University. She has 25 years of work experience across teaching, Business HR roles and consulting. Post a couple of years in teaching and consulting, she returned to India to join Hindustan Unilever Limited in the Human Resources function. She was responsible for introducing some innovative leadership development practices to help leaders understand their strengths and gaps. She then moved on to head HR for a boutique IT company, Torry Harris Business Solutions where she was part of the core team that helped grow the nascent organization and put in place critical systems and processes in HR.

In 2000, the entrepreneurial bug bit and she moved on to set up CoCoon (www.cocoonconsulting.com), a niche firm that designs and delivers strategic talent-related solutions. At CoCoon, she has played a significant role in growing the leadership development practice. She has been instrumental in designing a couple of leadership development productized solutions that are aimed at senior leaders including leadership assessments and coaching. Mr. Amit Sethi is a 30 year veteran of the financial services, technology, outsourcing and consulting industries. During his career, Amit has worked globally across North America, Asia, and the Middle-East in various executive roles and as a management consultant.

Amit held a series of executive positions with companies such as Bank of America, Visa, KPMG, Oracle, and iGate in the US and co-founded 2 Silicon Valley start-ups. He also worked for HSBC and AF Ferguson in India. He is currently the Managing Director for a global payment services company, where he is responsible for the company’s business and corporate development activities in emerging markets and overseeing its captive software development centres in India. Lt. Col (Retd.) Jitender Singh Chandel Executive Director

Lt. Col Jintender Singh Chandel (Retd.) was commissioned into the Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army in 1980 and served in staff and field appointments at various levels including as BM of Brigade in active insurgency area of Nagaland and with Special Group (COMMANDO) and commanded the unit during Indian Peace Keeping Force operations in Sri Lanka. He also served as Joint Director Coordination in the Recruiting Directorate, Army Head Quarters and was responsible for coordinating recruitment of officers through SSBs and other ranks by the Recruiting Zones and the Directorate. He took premature retirement in 2001 after serving 21 glorious years with the Indian Army. In 2005, he joined Ranbaxy as General Manager, Administration and Security. This entailed the administration and security of the largest R&D complex among pharmaceutical companies in India and seven manufacturing plants all over the country. He joined Fortis Healthcare Limited in 2009 as a senior member of a core team for setting up a 275 bed Hospital at Kolkata and was in charge of all the regulatory licenses and permissions required for running a Multispecialty Hospital. He currently works with Fortis as Head of Project & Liaison in the Executive Chairman Office. Lt. Col. Chandel is a Commerce Graduate from DAV College, Chandigarh and holds an MSc in Defence Studies from Madras University.

Shivinder Mohan Singh, currently the Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Fortis Healthcare, has had a distinguished career as an entrepreneur and business leader, who, in a short span of under two decades, transformed the way private healthcare is delivered and shaped its evolution as an important and credible partner in India’s growth.

Shivinder was driven by the twin needs to create significant impact in the domain of healthcare delivery and by his vision, to bring world class standards of care delivery, at affordable prices, for the benefit of the people of India. His credo of “saving and enriching lives”, on a foundation of clinical excellence and distinctive patient care, continued to guide the evolution of Fortis as it took its rightful place as an acknowledged leader in healthcare delivery. During his executive stewardship of the organization, Fortis used several innovative formats to achieve unprecedented growth, combined with an unrelenting focus on clinical quality and standardization. Mr. Sunil Godhwani in his capacity as a Whole-Time Director, Religare Enterprises Limited (REL), is a guide and mentor to the various group businesses of Religare. Till recently in his executive capacity as the CEO of REL, was responsible for leading and managing all the businesses. He joined Religare in 2001 and prior to that has a rich and varied experience as an entrepreneur in his family business.
